Well, there is no "Vintage '60's" Strat in Fender's catalog per se that's made in Mexico. It's probably a Classic '60's Strat or a Classic Player '60's Strat. They sell new for about $700-750 and $750-800 respectively. In the U.S., you could probably get either one used for around $450-550.


However there was a "Vintage Player stratocaster" offered a few years ago and it was MIM. Came out slightly before the classic players. Was offered in Sonic blue and Aztec Gold, Texas Specials, Vintage spaced tremolo, and staggered tuners. Not sure if thats what he means, but thought it was worth a mention

I'm not too experienced with Fender's, as I only just had my first one this year (I was a Squier guy before) but my 2010 MIM strat is pretty decent, couldn't find any flaws, sharp frets etc., and it sounds pretty good too. Only thing I had to do was tweak it a bit to my liking, change it from .9's to .10's, and thats it, it's now my no.1 go-to guitar.
