Bottom line, I would be nervous about that auction. The guy has positive feedback but it is all as a buyer and nothing in the past 6 months. It may well be legit and he just decided to sell an old Strat he had laying around but tread lightly on that one.

Would a guy experienced enough to have his own guitar tech be ignorant enough to sell a 1957 strat in excellent condition for $6,000? Highly dubious proposition.

I was looking at that last night and telling the wife there was no way that was a legit deal. That would have been the deal of the century.
