What's the difference between the clapton sig series strat and the custom shop sig series strat? after reading specs i cant find much difference except the price.

The Custom Artist version uses better construction methods.

For example the body is made from select alder and the neck from a single piece of flamed maple.

The electronics on the Teambuilts are the same as the regular Artist versions while the Masterbuilts feature a conventional tone control instead of the TBX tone circuit. Also, the CS Claptons lack of a micro-tilt adjuster on the neck.

I'll defer to the last poster. I own a EC Strat with Gold Lacer Sensors and I love the thing. If you've the money and you want really good workmanship go for the CS. If you just want a EC Strat, then I would just by the Artist model.
