Yep £60 for someone you trust, to sort your guitars out. I'd pay that no problems.

Truth is if you have a half decent relationship with the repair person, they'll likely put you onto someone good if they can't do a job.

yea ive been going with a local guy here who does a nice job but he is expensive...$60 for a setup but he seems to do decent work
I just spent $165.00 to have an independent shop tell me what was wrong with the A/C in my Honda, just so I could fix it myself. The average these days is around $95.00 an hour for an automotive technician. So I think $60.00 for a set-up (which takes about an hour) sounds okay, especially if they "do decent work".
Its just for $60 i would expect a perfectly setup guitar...usually the most i ever paid is $40 but i guess times are tough now

I had the same issue and resolved it by filing the G nut slot (a little at a time) and not placing the string under the string tree of my Fender Showmaster.

If you can't use the string tree, I guess your nut are not as good it can be. Your nut slot have not the right angle at the string exit.
And when you use the tree, this change the string angle exit. The nut slot should go down at the string exit.

Any good guitar set-up make all strings working in tune. If not, the set up is not well done.

I'm having the same problem with g string. I'm trying to resolve it lubrificating the nut of my guitar.

if your having the same problem i am lubricating it wont help...the nut needs to be modified (cut down on the G string) so that the G# note wont go sharp...thats the problem im having and my tuner wasnt really ideal for setting intonation.
