I just purchased a EJ off of Ebay and the serial numbers is EJ09914. What year was this guitar made( breakdown of serial number)?

I have 9933. It's stamped '06 in the cavities and on the neck, so I'm 99% sure that yours is the same. Yours was probably made in May-June 2006. Congrats on the axe!

I"ve noticed that Fenders dating resource doesn't include the EJ serial numbers for some reason. Seems strange to me that such a popular guitar wouldn't have a resource for dating on Fenders site.

Look for dates in the neck pocket, on the end of the neck, and on the underside of the pickguard.

Yeah, taken it apart a few times. The neck and pickup cavities have dates (or is it just the PU, don't remember!), as well as the end of the neck, which is kinda cool to see since the EJ neck is quartersawn.
