Is it true that Strat neck sizes are distinguished by letters A, (smallest)B,C,D etc.? Also c shape D shape, U shape and v shape? I am currently in the market for a Strat. I have smaller hands and am looking for the smallest neck radius. Would that be a 50s,60s,70s reissue or are those all huge necks? I have questions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

the letters are the chapes of the neck

the most common shapes are c-shape and v-shape

(imagine a B-shaped neck!!!  )

and one more thing is the radius the bigger the number of the radius the flatter the fretboard is......

the best i can say to you is to go and play some strat and eventually you will find the one that fits you the best...

The smallest neck I ever saw on a strat was on the custom shop EC.

You could alway have a good tech shave the neck for you.
