I have experimented with different nut materials and have found, for my liking, that bone is the best mix for tone and durability. I find that brass and stainless add too much treble and plastic sort of deadens the tone and does not last very long. Corian is ok as well as graphite but both of these still get edged out of first place by bone. Like to hear everyone elses opinion. One exception to this is that if I was heavy into using the trem I would probably go with LSR roller nut and sacrifice some tone.

I prefer bone. I hate whatever Gibson uses. I do like the bonelike stuff Fender uses.
