It's been one of the better ones I've owned Niki but until I bought it I only used real cheap ones. Does fine by me and no problems as of yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!

It's a heavy duty little devil isn't it!

T'is a good thread. 8)

Some very inspiring pedal boards chaps. I've been a Line 6 POD user since they first came out and have never really collected a great deal of pedals. That said, it would be nice to put what I do have on a nice powered board to keep things tidy.

Roland GR-20
Line 6 POD X3 with FBV Expression pedal
Cry Baby Wah
Line 6 Variax A/B Footswitch Pedal
Digitech JamMan Looper
Marshall Drive Master
Custom Germanium Fuzz
Marshall VS100 Footswitch

Yet another project to add to the list.

HA!

I'll have to add a Planet Waves tuner to the list of Sock filler suggestions! The current favourite filler was one from Ripitup555...

Brutal yet tasty

Enjoy!

I bet that Toblerone comes sharp if it catches across the ear.

Gotta admit I was utterly amazed years ago. When my softly spoken, genteel, wouldn't normally harm anyone girlfriend put half a house brick in her handbag before going out on the town with her mates.
Turning her bag into the mace you can keep your makeup in!

Strange ways them country folk.

Indeed I have a couple of Burford pedals in there, Electron Grid Suzz, Synthia, UFO and Robot. Why spend three times as much for something imported 8~)

I know Alan quite well. He's an amazing bloke, really nice guy. It's always worth getting in touch with him if you have something particular in mind. He built me a fuzz based on his Brit-fuzz design. Tremendous bit of kit. Goes from violin like smooth to exploding Death Star grind. A really knowledgeable, helpful fella. Who doesn't mind getting his tools out for a mate, I picked up a hell of a lot off him over the years. Y'know he sold four treble boosts to Billy Gibbons?

There's just so many crude remarks I could make right now... But I'll stick to the bare faced truth. I play in the nude just like everyone else here and there was this awful draft... Toblerone any one?

Wow, you guys have some impressive pedalboards!

I don't really have one... I guess... All I really have is this:

A cheap "Guitar Research" tuner (hey, it works - what the heck...)
2011 Fender Frontman 65R
Fender channel switch
1998 Digitech RP7 Valve processor (if I decide to use it - I mostly just use it for recording).
Image

Note the pieces of paper taped to the Digitech, so I can keep track of what is what.
Left side notes: Sound banks 1 1-4, 2 1-4 that I still fiddle around with and tweak and try to get to sound good with the Frontman 65.
Right side notes: Sound banks 3 1-4, 4 1-4 that sound great through headphones, Tascam recorder, PC speakers, etc... So I don't mess with them or use them with the Frontman 65.

I custom built my pedalboard from a bass case. I bought the case from GC for $5 and cut it in half as soon as I got it home. Used most of the hardware (except the hinges, I "customized" a set of fixed pin hinges from the hardware store to make the top removable)

I installed a recessed "computer case" plug and 3 1/4" jacks on the side (input, output, and channel selector for my amp), and wired the board with the pedals in place, to minimize patch cord length. all the patch cords run beneath a "false floor" on which the pedals are mounted. Pedals are held in place by using longer versions of the screws used to hold their base plates on, screwed up from underneath the "false floor".

The space beneath the false floor holds a one-spot to power the pedals, and gives me room for the auxiliary 120v outlet on the top, in case I need to plug anything else in.

This rig makes it really easy on gigs... just carry it in, take the top off, plug, and play.

I will post a set of pictures once I take some.

Ashtone, i think that your board is sick! and quite practical, with the briefcase and all!

I'm working on putting together my first board, with 4 compact pedals and my giant fender fuzz wah. Any tips for a n00b to the pedal board construction world? I really like the convience of yours

Thanks!

Ps I promise to post a pic of my board here when i finish it (although i might not get one or two of the pedals for a while, Canada post is going on strike wednesday D: )

before you commit to a placement for your pedals, play around with the positions. Using velcro will allow you to attach and move the pedals around, but I always found that the velcro gave my pedals a "squishy" feel to them. Depending on the board you use, I would consider either getting screws the same type as what holds the bottom plate in place, but longer, and screw up from underneath the board, or use brackets made from bicycle chain links. This will hold the pedals firmly to the board without the "squishy" velcro feel.
