We've beaten to death the "quack" tone, so let see what everything thinks is
the Fender strat's "chime" tone that so many talk about...

I think of it best as the clean 'bell like' tone from a 3 position pup selector switch in the middle position (stock) through a Twin or other clean amp....what say you..?

I find the chimey tone when I use position 2 or 4 especially when hitting a harmonic.

I've always called it the "Sparkle and Spank" of a Stratocaster. I get it by putting the selector switch to the middle position or my secret Neck + Bridge setting...

Yep....chime, chimey, bell-like...that's it my friend!

So...we got quack, chime, bell-like...how about 'stratty' ???
I think anything that sounds like a strat could be called a 'stratty' sound?
