I went into my local Fender dealer on Saturday and ordered a Fender American Deluxe HSS in 3-tone sunburst with a maple neck. Paid my deposit and he said that there is about a 10 month wait.
I would like to hear how you all deal with long waits for a new guitar? Looking at pictures isn't going to cut it.

Wow..10 months, is that an uncommon configuration? As in not stocked anywhere apparently? That is a tough wait, I hope it's what your looking for when it shows! Good luck!

It took 7 months to get my Strat Am Dlx HSS. To get it that fast I took my 2nd choice color. It was very much worth the wait. This was from MF but it was not their fault.

Well, I know what I did after waiting 3.5 months with my local music store.

I quit waiting and ordered on line. I see GC still lists the item you seek as "in stock".

Ten days after I ordered, this was in my living room.
