Ok, so I had some adjustments done to the action (lowered it) of my 50's issue mexi strat that has the vintage bridge and tuners. Now I noticed that when I use the tremolo it throws the guitar way out of tune. Most of the time in comes out sharp. Is there a easy solution for this? Do I need to give it some time to settle in?

Thanks.

You might try lubricating the string slots at the nut and the underside of the string tree -- might be some unwanted friction there that is binding the strings.

Thanks Arjay, I'll try that out and report back later today.

what it the nut made of? you could try scratching some graphite (pencil led) in the slots of the nut... also can be a problem with not enough tension in the spring claw - sometimes the bridge can be floating but it will still feel loose to move...

I agree with graphite in the nut and will add, chapstick or vasoline under the string tree and.....uh.....locking tuners.
