hey guys can you please help me with this? I'm going to look at this strat in a couple hours and want to know if it sounds right to you, and which model it is.

Buddy listed it as USA Strat with s1 switch
It's serial Z6111735
Color is Sienna Sunburst
rosewood neck
Light colored (white or mint) pick guard
Humbucker at bridge
2 noiseless single coils

Im thinking it's a 2006 US Stratocaster Deluxe with alder body.

I'm worried it's a partscaster, an upgraded std, or maybe something MIM.

It's $850 with a non fender hardshell

Oddities happen, but an American Deluxe should have a serial number that starts with "DZ" instead of just a "Z". Also an American Deluxe would have a raised chrome headstock decal and locking tuners. It would also have the SCN noiseless pickups. It might have the LSR roller nut as well.

It sounds to me like it could be an American Series HSS with the noiseless pickups swapped into it; they had the S1 switch during that time frame from mid-2003 through the end of 2007. Also with the sienna sunburst the body should be ash if it is an American Series HSS - that was a standard color for the American Series HSS of that time frame.

$850 would be a bit too much for an American Series HSS with a non-Fender case (unless it's really expensive case not a standard molded case); if it is an American Deluxe that would be an okay deal for a 2006 without the factory case.

If you get a chance to take some photos please post them before you buy it; we would be able to tell more about it once we see it.

He claims it's all stock and unmodified.

I've got someone coming to look at my 04 in a few mins. Man, it's tough to let her go it's a nice guitar. I like the maple neck on it and can't find the Sienna with hss and maple and the S-1.

If I sell my 04 std met blue for $800 I figured this would be a pretty cheap way to get into a color I like and get the Humbucker and noiseless I crave!
