i kinda did too actually. but the sanding wasnt in the right spots to be a relic, so i decided to finish the paint job.

one more layer of primer and it should be ready to paint.

it got some deep dings too, so i'm going to have to re-prep and start over.... so i decided to relic it for the time being. i may repaint it next month.... or keep it like this... i'll post pics in about 30 minutes when i reassemble the thing.

MAybes get a couple of the spots back to the wood and it will look like a pretty decent relic...............nice work.....except the dropping the guitar incident......... :roll: :wink: :wink:

whats a nice warm sounding, moderate output, passive, alnico humbucker for these things? the single coils sound ok but the humbucker is too glassy for an alder bodied guitar.
