Hey gyus,
just wondering, how could I achieve a close enough tone to John Meyer playing the famous "slow dancing in a burning room"?

Anyone knows the rig he uses (PU, amp, stomp boxes, gauge of strings, etc) ?

To my ears, he -more likely- plays with the amp settings as to saturate the final tubes and rolls off the tone on the neck-middle PU. Something like that anyway.

If any one knows, please, write down something more specific about it. Thank you.

welllllll....

He uses Two Rock amps, has his strat at fourth position and uses the Big Dipper pickups for a start.

I use a bit of reverb and some compression on my amp and it seems to work alright.

No, its the name of the Fender pickups he uses. I don't think you can buy them, I think they only come in his signature model. I've heard that the jazzy cats made by Klein are pretty close.
