I remember seeing a list like this somewhere online but I just looked and I couldn't find anything. I would love to see what you guys come up with for a list. Here's mine (in no particular order with a few left-field choices):

1. 1959 Fiesta Red "Shadows" Stratocaster (Hank Marvin)
2. 1961 "Green/Gold" Sparkle Stratocaster (Dick Dale)
3. 1955 Sunburst Stratocaster (Buddy Holly)
4. 1962 Sonic Blue/Psychedelic "Rocky" Stratocaster (George Harrison)
5. 1956/1957 Black "Blackie" Stratocaster (Eric Clapton)
6. 1968 Olympic White Stratocaster (Jimi Hendrix)
7. 1962/1963 Sunburst "Number 1" Stratocaster (Stevie Ray Vaughn)
8. 1968 Black Stratocaster (David Gilmour)
9. 1957 Sunburst "Gizmo" Stratocaster (Lol Creme)

And we can't forget Keith Partridge's 1964 Sunburst Strat!

I have a toilet seat that was rigged with a guitar neck and strung up with strings that was given to me. In my honest opinion, for me anyway, this takes all ten spots. It's a gorgeous light blue color complete with brush strokes.

That's a good list. The only "important" Strats not on your list are Eric Clapton's Brownie, Jimi Hendrix' Black Strat, and Rory Gallagher's Strat.

So I might change your last two ...

Buddy Guy's polka dot.
Mark Knopfler's red strat.

Those are the two biggest omissions I could think of.

Screw Keith Partridge AND his "Double Bubble" music.

Rory's guitar should definitely be on that list!

Malmsteen's Strat was to be included but the guitar's ego was too large to fit on the list.

You are correct...I think I only saw two guitars that were different.

I saw a vid with him talking about the different strats he had. They were all thrown around a room like he shoveled them in there.

I'd like to add Eddie Van Halen's Frankenstrat.
