I see musicians friend has them in stock. They are identical to the American Standards except the thinskin nitro finish , so any American Standard will sound the same.

I have a 2010 sonic blue FSR thin skin strat. Got it when they first came out last December.
it is pretty much the same as an american standard except with different colors, pearloid pickguard and thin skin finish. Sounds like my other American standards. same pickups. I just had to get it because of the cool sonic blue color and thin skin finish.

Here's a beautiful rosewood-neck FSR thinskin US Standard in Dakota Red:

The FSR Thinskin US Standard uses vintage-style single coil pickups with alnico V magnets instead of the DeltaTones found on regular production versions. It sounds a bit different.

I saw that description of Alnico V pickups when I bought the guitar, but mine still has the detent at 10 on the bridge and middle tone control. Wide open tone at 10. Isn't that the Delta tone? either way it is a great strat.

Joakorb had one in Mercedes Blue.

He GASsed a lot for a set of Lace Sensor Golds on his axe when I posted a shot from the Prince's Trust gig of 1996 showing Clapton with the original Mark Kendrick "one-off" signature.
