I think I would have made up some story about picking the lock with a paper clip. :D

Glad you got it opened. Like others have said, don't feel bad, most of us have done similar things (and much worse).

I hope that strat came with a standard vintage or two point trem, not a Floyd Rose Locking unit.... :lol:
