Hi. Yeah. so i have a stage 185 amp. workd. mostly fine. well long story short. person kicked my amp . i get home see it on ground. dont know what got damaged. but the reverb metal box thing had been ejected from the rear i guess in process of the kick. Sound would get just about cut in half. could hear it but a definite sound degradation. and then i could like "bump" my amp and it would start louder and be normal sound for a while then sometime. later. not a real pop sound but a muffled sound came about when i went to use it and then no sound. i mean i can turn the volume to ten. (which if you have this amp know is #$@*&!% too loud to play standing next to at ten) lol. it only has the quietest sound coming./ but it will have sound. less volume then the strings themselves give off but sound nonetheless. i dont know what or where to start? HELP?!!?!?

well when it was working.half way. it would work with the reverb tank attached and not. idk or think it is directly connected to the volume coming out to be so low? or is it?

Are you saying the reverb dont work? or the amp it self has half volume? First things I would do is take the pc board out and look to see if any of the solder joints are cracked and some times the bigger capacitors from alot of movement will crack. Then if you dont have anything then I would check and see what you have at your + and - rails

+1 nikininja,

Tank connections and/or cables should be checked thoroughly, and maybe even be a broken solder joint or circuit trace somewhere else, any of which could cause an intermittent problem.

Just realized this post is in the Strat part of the forum, you might get more amp heads involved by posting over on the amp part of the forum:
