Martian.....just wanted to say thanks (out of the blue). I bought a mim strat today with a hot rails bridge and your post reminded me that I can use the far tone knob to cut into the center wires to roll in the coil split...... Pot to the mid wires to ground.

In a recent post, I once referred to him as 'a guitar tech's guitar tech'. Now you know how things work on a starship.

HI guys, I like you found each other on my post.. you are welcome and have a nice cup of coffee :o
In the time, some suggestion x me?
I did some variations:
- inverted black and green (seems the noise is really less) and use the 1 pin of the pushpull (the one near the tree of pot) without connect with the opposite (so just use pin 1 and 3) that I think I doesn't need. And now seems the humbucker works on off and split when pull. Waiting this afternoon to try.

If is all ok, just take a look here, please
http://www.google.it/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=5&ved=0CCUQFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.seymourduncan.com%2Fimages%2Fproducts%2Felectric%2Fstratocaster%2F501015-100.pdf&rct=j&q=seymour%20duncan%20jb%20jr%20diagram&ei=6O68Ta2fCYTBswapsqSHBg&usg=AFQjCNG2dkqGw9BByey0C4MHRi70QOcilA&cad=rja

The only different thing is that on the push/pull there isn't that 'bridge' from 5to6pin

thank you :)

I'm really sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I have a family emergency which is taking up most of my time these days. Admittedly, I just gave your diagrams a quick glance but they appear to be correct.

Andy, if you're out there, please second proof this for me.

Howdy!

Just spotted this... Works been keeping me pretty busy recently.

diSTRATto, I'll give your diagrams a thorough look tonight when I get back home.

Martian, I hope you and your family are OK. Sending Big Hairy Mojo your way mate.

Andy

Hi diSTRATto,

I've checked your wiring diagrams and as previously mentioned you'd need to swap the Black and Green wires on the Bridge pickup. Sounds like your pretty much there... If you have any further issues use the following diagram to check your work.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted on how you get on. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the JB Jnr.

Andy

Hi all :)

Andy !! you spent a lot of time x me doing that diagram !!! thank you very much.
Yes I think that is the final solution. I have used the one did by martian, mod by mine to use push/pull in the lower tone pot.

I needed other mods : as written in the instruction inside the jb jr, if you use it with stock fender pkup you have to reverse, so I wire the green into the 5way switch and black to ground. This finally ends any noise.

x the push pull just use the center and lower pin (the one close to the back of the pot).
using the higher pin will works opposite (single normal, humbucker when pull -not good :|)

x the pickup I can say is really powerful . I try it today , not a lot, but with my fender blues jr and an overdrive (tube screamer clone), it scream a lot.. great power chords and good sustain x solos. those I was looking for. when split (hope my wire is fors split and not x change parallel/series  ) doesn't change a lot, but that bit good for rythm with 4th position of switch.

lot of volume, near a bridge 57 classic plus of a les paul.. (sure this one is warmer)

hope this weekend to have time to make a little sound demo x you all.
on this saturday I will go live with my band and still not sure if starting with this MIM strat with the jb or with my les paul :)

thank you all guys, see you soon and sorry x my nursery English

on the JB, i think its the blk and green wires that need to be reversed on a strat. might be part of the problem.
