Thanks for all the positive comments. Update: I've re-measured the neck pocket on the body and its depth is correct at .625 inch. I have measured the three Stratocaster RI 50s style necks that I own and the one on this Surf Green guitar is about (it's hard to measure to round corners) 1/16 inch wider/thicker at the 16th fret than the other two. It makes a big difference down there in saddleland for height adjustment.
