Looking through the Pink Floyd fan sites, offical sites, and David Gilmour's personal site for news, I came across an article saying there was going to be a Signature model of Dave's famous Black strat. Can anyone verify this rumor, and it's $4000 price tag?

All signature model are so expensive! But if I'll play like Gilmour... who cares!

...Huh?

Ah. The first post caused me some confusion - till I looked at the date on it.

I suspect Mr pinkfloyd19_jt got all the discussion of that particular guitar his heart could desire over the following couple of years. My: that one ran and ran on this Forum!!!

Fender should release the David Gilmour Signature Strat with a Candy Apple Red finish and the EMG DG20 pickup set for those Pink Floyd fans looking for the post-Waters era Gilmourish sound of the 1987-1995 period (Division Bell, Delicate Sound of Thunder, PULSE).

I like Dave's Black Strat, but prefer much the Red '57 reissue with the EMGs for the versatility sake.
