mike,

did the price reflect the age?
usually when a guitar has been setting in a shop that long, the price drops a bit.
now, seeing that its a lefty, from what ive seen your lucky to have found one.
a lot of manufactures arent "lefty friendly".

No, normal price for that store, but I think it was an okay price. I'm over that. I love the guitar. It was just weird when I realized my "new" guitar is actually 3 years old. I paid $1099 for it in Calgary, Canada (and then got that $100 gift card). I really like how Manufacturers now aren't charging more for the lefties. Lefty guitars used to be about 10% more expensive.

Like cherokee747 says, it's new to me. They couldn't pay me to take it back at this point. I've already logged tons of time on it.

I like this forum. It's cool that people can share your excitement over a new guitar.

What's the color?
Olympic white?

I'm not sure. I don't know how to tell! I'm pretty sure it is because the only other white they offer is more like a silver I think.

I never seen an American Standard with that nicely flamed maple neck. Usually flamed necks can be found only on the more expensive Custom Shop instruments.

Great looking guitar!
Don't sweat on it being a few years old, it's still brand new, like Cherokee said it's been waiting for you, the guitar was born for you to take it home, it just took a while.

If anything that would just add to the magic. 8)
