Welcome to the Forum Maysi..!!

As far as what kind of ash.. :?: It's a 3 piece ash body for the crimson red transparent i have.
Weight is heavier than most strats but I couldn't give you an exact figure, not that i find it to be that important.
Mine has had some mods but I still think it is a great series.

Welcome. Please understand that posting in large type font and bold letters is considered "shouting" and is bad forum ediquette. So is posting in all capital letters.

I just finished one that turned out nice. I have replaced the pickguard, pickups (Texas Specials), and replaced all the electronics. Sounds great now...

i have heard that out of all the mim strats the deluxe player is the closest to a mia strat.
ive only played one. it was really a beautiful guitar. sounded pretty dang good and the fit/finish was dead on. on the down side, the guitar was horrably set up and for that reason it played terrible. so i wont and cant use that experience to make my judgement.
im in great hopes to try another one as soon as i have the opportunity to do so.

Beatiful guitar, does the push button still select pick-up combinations?

On mine I deleted the push/push switch, replaced the pups with SCN's, replaced the vintage style tuners with Sperzel locking tuners, since deleting the push switch, a change in pickguard was also required and aupgrade to abalone topped Vol/Tone knobs.
Interestingly, I did not like the pups in the OEM Player as it was when I bought it, but they have been reinstalled in my Strat rebuild with TBX tone pots ( 2220K resistor ) and they are great.
Sometimes a change in pots and/or resistors/caps is all a pickup needs to perform for your own personal criteria.

G'day,

I used a body and neck from the Deluxe Players Strat for my recent build. I found these parts to be of exceptional quality - probably the best that Mexico has to offer.

The type of Ash used ? hmmm, not sure, maybe Swamp Ash ?

I can't give an accurate weight since I've weighed it down with much gold :) , but the body seems to be heavier than most.
I'd definitely consider owning one of these beauties in stock standard form (minus the TS pickguard of course) the white pearl PG on yours Alkyhauler looks great.

My new Deluxe Strat has a 2 piece Swamp Ash body.
I have an '01 American Strat with what looks and weighs like Northern Ash.
The Deluxe feels about a half a lb lighter! Of course the USA trem and tuners are heavier also.

Welcome.

I had a 2007 one. The wood was Northern Ash and the total weight of the guitar was 7 pounds, 8 ounces.

Also, please follow the suggestions of prior posters here regarding all caps and your choice of font size.

Personally, I really like the DPS. It has a 12" fretboard radius, which is flatter than the standard neck and quite comfortable to me and the noiseless pickups are a nice touch. (I hate noise). I don't have one yet, but have played both new ones and used ones several times now.
