Hello peeps, I currently have a H/S/H configuration with a 5 way switch and was wondering if I would be able to unsolder the middle single coil pickup from the circuit altogether so that I have a H/H configuration, and keep the 5 way switch. Does anyone know if it is possible for a 5 way switch to work with a H/H setup? Cheers

Instead of a conventional 5 way switch, replace it with a superswitch, you'll then be able to have a neck H and bridge H, also all 3 pups as well as wired for single to dual coil for both H's.( if of course the humbuckers are 4 wires, not 2.

A conventional 5 way can be wired to what you want, but you will delete another option. Which I think would be your middle pup. Pointless then.
