OK, so I know I am in the wrong place for this, but can someone talk me out of going after a Highway One that I see for sale. It is used, but still in great shape, with all candy, and I love the color of it.

All that is needed is to go play it - which I am avoiding with my best efforts. It is just over $500, and I fear that if I play the thing, I will not be able to go home without it.

Please give me a good reason to not go play this thing!

thanks badvibes!

Now I have a problem, though - there are two that I really like the looks of. From what many have said, I might really like either if I go play them. grrrr, glad I am at work today, but one of these is very close to work, and it would be easy to check out on the way home...

Yep, you are in the wrong place  I say buy the rosewood neck on, that is a beautiful looking guitar, but you can't go wrong with either one of them.

I'm leaning toward checking out the cream one. I do leave town early Tue morning, so if I can make it through Mon night, I can fight this off...

The cream coloured one is the same as mine.

Buffed it up to a nice shine and changed the pickups for SD alnico 2 pros.

Great guitar - you wouldnt be going wrong. Just check it's the upgraded model with the big bridge sustain block..

Thanks?!?!?

Well, I do not think I will have time to check out the cream colored one before I leave town tomorrow morning, but the red one is right next to my work. I might just have to stop by and take a look at that one.

The specs tell me I might like it, and the comments from those here and elsewhere tell me the same.

What do you think is a decent buy on these, assuming they are very well cared for and feel/sound the way I would like? I might just make a run at both of them, if the price is right.

a clean used HW1 in my area will bring a solid $450, but more often $500.
sounds to me like you need to go check out the redhead next door bro.

wow, now I am likely to have a new problem.

The guy did not get back to me in time to check out the red hwy1, and I have not yet called on the cream one.

If I return from my trip on Sunday, and both of these are still available on the local CL, how bad will my GAS be? Will it ruin my easter dinner?

Going to take my white mim with me on this trip to keep me company, and hopefully limit an GAS pains I have while away!
