I have recently bought a Fender Stratocaster made in japan from a friend. The serial number is E604919 which, if i'm right, should date it to around 1984 and the guitar is candy apple red. I am just asking to see if anyone knows the value of a a 1984 fender japan strat so i can work out whether i got a good deal. :D

Hello there,
The color should not be a factor on this one. Condition will be. Also whether or not it has the System 1 tremolo. Take a look on eBay at the closed auctions. There are always several sales of MIJ Strats. So you can see what others actually sold for.

Thankyou for the info Norm, i have taken a look and it says syncronised trembolo, i will check ebay now :D
