Don't worry about adjusting each pole. There's no need to do that. If you really want to make some adjustments raise or lower the adjustements screws on the sides of the pickups.

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by this. I know what moving the magnets does, but I really think that it's not worth the trouble.

I have adjusted the heights of the pole pieces on my Tex-Mex's with no problems.

Tex-Mexs aren't Texas Specials.

I'm not sure I understand all this need to adjust individual pole pieces. Please explain to me why this is needed.

In my case, the D and G string were overpowering the others, and the closeness of the magnets to the strings were causing some string draw...

Adjusting them fixed both of those issues.

Wouldn't just lowering the pickups cure the problem?

It kinda solved the problem of the high poles being too close to the strings, but not the over-powering of the D and G strings... YMMV.

Some of us who have played guitars with staggered pole piece pups for a long time have learned to comepensate for the difference in volume by adjusting pick atttack...in other words you hit the string softer, over the G especially....which can be a problem when bending that string which lots of us do...it's only natural to hit it hard with the bend.
It becomes second nature...much like not popping your Ps in the mic....but some never learn these techniques, and it shows....they don't know it though.
Seasoned performers have bags full of tricks, and sometimes you don't get to see what's inside that bag and take it for your own....you have to earn it.

Indeed.

It'd take a truck like that to haul all of our gear too!
