Stretch the strings when you put on new ones. Unless you're doing dive bombs with the trem I wouldn't think it'd be normal for it to go out of tune (not with mine anyways).

Try lubing your nut too.

Have the nut checked. A poorly cut nut will never allow the guitar to stay in tune.

The stuff that Gibson uses on their guitars is aweful. They never stay in tune. Bone is a very good matarial.

Put lube everywhere!

You can use chapstick under the string T's and take a sharp pencil and "write" in the nut slots and a dull pencil and "write" on the saddles. The pencil is graphite and does a really good job of lubing for close to zero cost. As mentioned, stretch the strings. If you don't have a string stretcher, spend the $10. It's well worth it.

Be sure the trem springs are tight enough so the bridge isn't moving all over the place.

As previously mentioned,

- Strings properly wound around tuning pegs. The G string is typically wound a lot more than E, A, etc.
- This goes for especially if you like to use the trem: keep the top of your saddles clean and lubed. It's also good to have a bit of lube on the nut, as well the the underside of your string trees.
- Stretch strings well (multiple times) with each new set of strings.

This is a bit aside, but I like to give my strings & fingerboard a good wipe after playing to keep any natural oil of your fingers from building up. I think strings keep a bit longer this way, as well.
