I did a quick search here about pickguard for an SRV strat but didn't find anything.

Anyone have good sources on where to find a pickguard to fit the SRV strat?

I'm not looking for a replacement with the SRV in it.

AFAIK, any of Fender's 50's style 8-screw pickguards should be a drop-on fit. They're available in several colors.

+1 Arjay, if you want a replacement without drilling anymore holes look for an 8-hole guard with the notch by the neck to access the truss rod (not really necessary though). I replaced the pickguard on my SRV with an '62 guard that has 11 holes and had to drill a few new ones. 2 or 3 of the holes don't line up with 8 vs 11. There's also no "horn" inside the cavity to catch the screw below the switch. I just angled the screw until it caught some wood. I couldn't find a 8 hole pickguard in mint green, hence my use of a '62.

Thanks for the info/heads up.

So do you suggest any place to buy over another - like less expensive?

I think the price of a pickguard is pretty standard from shop to shop. eBay would be your best bet for the cheapest price but all the music chains will probable charge the same.
