For example, if you're playing a synth and want to switch to guitar for a passage. Steve Howe (Yes, Asia) used to use one along with some others.

I'm looking at making one, but would like to see some of the options currently available. I did see one recently being used, but it looked kind of unsteady.

Any others?

I'm looking for a Strat holder.

Hi Mike: I don't know the answer but a little bump might bring this to the eyes of someone who does.

I was about to say something about Santana till I saw your bit about wanting it for a Strat. He uses it for an acoustic, doesn't he? No help, sorry.

Good luck - C

You wouldn't catch me puttin my strat on one of those cheesy stands  .I am sure someone out there makes a nice sturdy one for electric guitars. If I run across something I'll post it up.Good luck.I could see a strat totally tipping over on one of those.

Hi scarleg: I have a feeling Mike thinks so too and is just wanting to look at the designs available commercially and then have someone build him a better one:

Yes, thanks Ceri. I'm guessing something can be made similiar to the acoustic
ones that would hold a Strat (and a Tele) securely.

Finally :D

I have a guy that has a great, but simple design to make one of these. I've asked to make one minor change, but it looks good.

I found him here - - - - > http://www.mimf.com/

Someone who saw Santana recently sent me this picture. It looks like this design would work well too :

That's very close to the design that we're looking at using. It's the same design as in the second post link. Some modifications need to be done for stability.
