I actually love the vibe of this guitar.

Ha ha I'm confused about how you transferred the finish from the original neck onto the headstock of another one, though, since you say the headstock finish is the only thing left.

The neck is original, but only the finish of the headstock and the wood itself are original to the guitar. Refretted, different nut, different tuners etc etc etc.

So what's the story on the body, then? Is it a different one altogether or just a removed finish? Either way i think it looks great.

I'd have to say out of 5 fenders I own only one realy stands out as my main axe. My 79 25th anniversary. We are a lucky band and get to open for alot of once big acts like little texas, john micheal montgomery, and others who are great acts but have semi retired. Everytime we play their guitar players come up to me and want to buy my 25th because of its sound. The draw back is that it also weighs 13 pounds and will about kill you at the end of a long set. Its all original except for a custom shop set in place original Kayler tailpeice that I hated at first but come to love over time. I get a lot of flak because its traditional who we open up for signs it but I dont care. Guitars are like beautiful wemon, they should be played with often and alot, loved and put on pedastools. I cant stand people who buy them to look at and never play. Thats like buying a great steak just to smell the aroma but not eat.

Everyone has a guitar that means something special to them. It's the centerpiece of your rig and your number 1 tool. And of course we think it's the best guitar to ever be strung. So tell us why yours is so much better than anyone else's. It could be a mod you've done to it, a story behind a particularly nasty ding, an awesome gig that tore the roof off the place, or some weird or meaningful way that you acquired it. What's so great about your favorite guitar?

because each and every one of them are mine and they are ALL paid for.

You must have my old 25th Anny Strat!

It was easily half again as heavy as my '78 Les Paul Standard. In the seven years I owned it, it never left the house (sounded great though).

Little Texas......the band that got me into country music.

2001 blue Agave
2004 Black with pearl pick guard
Both with maple necks and rosewood boards

I purchased the black one first and the agave blue was there at the same time.
I took the back one home and spent the next three days thinking about the one I left behind.
They are both used but very well looked after.
So I went back to the shop and the agave blue was still there so I took it as a sign that it was meant to come home with me.
I don't play at all and on top of that I'm legally blind but I will learn and I'm teaching myself until I can find an instructor that is able to work with me based on my needs.
I can see and as far as I was concerned these works of playable art were beautiful.
when I held each one I could feel the quality and when the sales associate played them both for me I could hear the quality.
Just having them makes me want to play and makes me want to learn something new everyday.
I'm teaching myself Walk the line and Sweet home Alabama and it may sound very status driven but I dint really care but the fact that they are Stratocasters makes me want to pllay them even more. The are both MIM Strats but that makes no difference to me they are made by Fender and bare the name Stratocaster and that's good enough for me.
Are my Strats better than anyone elses? Realistically I know they aren't but again I don't care. To me they are and whatever other guitars I end up being the caretaker of until they get passed on to the next generation these two Strats are what got me started in this journey and for that reason alone they are the best.

My guitar is great, because it is much better than "the great one" that she replaced.

My first one sucks. It's all banged up, the bridge is a wreck but my grandfather brought it for me & he passed. I'll always have it. (it's a 3/4 size anyway) . Had it since I was 6. N I'm going on 18. Lol
