Been watching the forum for a long time and have been amazed by the builds... I've done woodworking in the past, but never on an instrument, and unfortunately, I don't have a space in my current apartment to do woodworking. I have several guitars, including a MIM HSS Strat.

Anyway, I would like to ask for your advice on on a project I'm going to undertake. I have a non-fender guitar (all right, it's a First Act semi hollow body - called "crop circle" - feels like a tele slimline) and I want to change out the pickups to make it sound more like a standard telecaster. I know that this is not the telecaster forum, but I respect you guys (and gals) here, and would like your input as to what pickups I should use. the ones on the guitar right now are humbuckers, made for First Act.

If your willing to spend money get some fender custom shop tele pickups. If not try some Kent Armstrong tele pickups just make sure ther single coils to get that classic tele sound . Remember true single coils will hum abit

the pups on there now are more of a soapbar or dog-eat type, and I'm looking to replace the humbuckers I have with standard tele sounding ones that fit in the same mounting holes if possible
