Hey sklivas and welcome! :)

I'm a huge John Frusciante fan also, one of the main reasons I tend to stick with a strat as my main guitar. I would also love to see a Frusciante artist strat, but as has been mentioned here he just isn't really into that sort of thing, which is a shame, for us who would like one, anyway! Squier affinity strat is a great place to start off, as some I've played can sound pretty good. Best of luck with the tone hunting!

Frusciantes guitars are for the large part, stock. except for the pickups, but even then, he prefers originals. AVRI '62 or 70's (think of 'Mothers Milk' or 'BSSM') strat or a MIM equivalent will get it on a budget.

Thanks for all the great replies guys!!! I checked out the SSL-1's and they sound epic, I'm going to look at grabing some, as well a my friend's marshall that he's looking to get rid of :D (thats all that I can afford XD )
