which one is the most high end fender guitar that is not a custom shop nor artist series?
is it the american deluxe?

looking for a good versatile american strat that is great for blues and rock music.
which pickups should i get? i want something that sounds good with clean amp, good with fuzz pedals and also great with high gain sound.

something that has a good quality in terms of wood and parts. has a good comfortable neck.

im confused which is the highest end among the ff
fender vintage hot rod
fender american vintage
fender american deluxe

what are the differences, which one do you think suits my needs?

On my most recent Strat hunt I tried 8 or 9 Strats of varying prices and countries of origin making it a point not to look at the model or origin.After trying several I decided on an Olympic White Strat,with a vintage vibrato,maple fretboard,soft V neck and Tex-Mex pickups,it was a Jimmie Vaughn model.Of all the Strats I tried(I had budgeted for $2,500 plus tax)but the $950 Jimie Vaughn was the one that really felt and sounded the best to me.

I would go with a 62 Vintage Reissue, they are well built, sound great, and can cover lots of ground and have for years...and you can't beat a fender three color sunburst finish with the rosewood fretboard
