Hi All,

I recently got a mexican strat and it blew me away.

I have now decided to try and get a USA made strat and have been offered
a roadhouse deluxe stratocaster, but it just doesnt look right. The fender logo on my mexican is like a silver with a black/brown border but this one is all brown/black. truss rod doesnt look right either...Im not sure about fenders yet so if you guys can help
me determine if this strat is real Id appreciate it. It shouts Squier to me.... pictures follow:

For sure it's a Squire dude.
Tell the guy nice try, you were born at night but it wasn't last night.

Didn't you post this somewhere else and said you bought it as a John Mayer Strat?

I've seen that headstock before on this site.

Not Squier, just copy rubbish. The access hole is all the wrong shape for Squier.

Well don't buy it. I know I just saw that same guitar, with those same pics the other day. And the person said they bought it and was told it was a John Mayer Strat

I thought it looked familiar too!

Tell the seller to pound sand and walk away.
