I just installed a handwired pickguard with Alinco II Premium II pickups from Guitar Fetish on my Mexican Strat. The pickups sound great, but the guitar has a bad hum in all positions. The pickguard had one ground to connect which I connected to the trem claw. But the Fender wiring has a ground to the trem claw and another from the volume pot to the body. Should I run another wire like the factory set up? Would that take the hum out?

yes run the standard factory wiring, if there is no shielding on the back of the pickguard where the electronics mount this will also be a cause for hum, if that it the case run a wire conecting the bell of each pot to eachother thus earthing them...
