My neighbor is an investment manager that works with quite a few celebrity clients. Wednesday, he told me he had Clapton coming over the next morning, to talk about a business deal he was setting up. He said that if they got their business finished and Eric was in good spirits, he would call me to see if I could stop by to say hello. I didn’t bother to go into the office Thursday and I got the call late morning to come over. I was shaking like a leaf, but I grabbed my Strat and headed next door. Eric was very cordial, not real talkative. He saw my guitar case I’d left by the entry and asked to see what I’d brought, which really helped break the ice. He played some slow blues riffs in G, complimented my nice guitar and said he needed to run. He is heading to the east coast to do some dates. That was it! It went by like a flash. My neighbors’ wife took the photo. She just sent me a copy. I’ve been hoping that maybe his sweat on my strings would transfer some talent into me, but so far no luck.

All right, I was operating on the "all old white guys look alike" principle. Just trying to provide a chuckle for your 1st of April. The wife thought the photo was worth a shot to try to sell the story.

I think this is an April Fools joke.

Eric doesn't had the "Journeyman/24 Nights"-era long hair he got in 2010. His hairstyle is now a tad shorter. Also, he's now 66 years old (he was born in March 30, 1945) and wears different glasses.

Clapton plays maple-neck Strats with mid-boosted Vintage Noiseless stacked-coils and a blocked vintage-style bridge.

The picture shows a guitarist who supposedly resembles to old slowhand himself.

I hope EC will bring back the better-looking short "yardbirds crew" haircut he did during the Danish Smukfest in August 10th, 2008:

Maybe the 1st pic shows Clapton 15 years ahead in the future.
Maybe the O.P. is a man that actually came from the future.
Who knows ?

Happy liars day to all!

This one really had me!
I live close to Columbus, Ohio and have seen Eric getting his mail and jogging.
He pretty much likes to be left alone , these days. Can anyone blame him?
I think he just wants to be a regular guy, which I know he is.
