Hi , I have a Big Apple Strat I bought used. Nice axe except the original owner had the neck shaved down too thin. I'm looking for a replacement neck.
I have 3 Strat Plus Guitars with the sweetest necks. Anyone know all the specs for Strat Plus necks. I know they are 9.5 radius , C shape neck 22 Med Jumbo Frets . Is there anything out there close to that ? I guess I need to know width at the nut ect. Are Mexican necks as good as American necks ( a luthier I know said the newer Mexican necks are are same as Americans for the most part )
ALSO What the difference between a C neck and a Modern C neck.
Any info on where to get a replacement neck is appreciated. I see some on ebay but really overpriced. Not sure how Mighty Mites are.
Many Thanks ....

Hi, I've never played a Big Apple Strat but sounds like you need an Am Standard neck. Modern C, 9.5" radius and 22 frets. The MIM Standard Stratocaster has the same specs also(at least I think it does)). I've heard C-shped necks referred to as"C-shape", Modern-C, and also Chunkier-C shaped. I know what the chunkier-C means but I don't know if there's a difference between someone saying "modern-C" are just plain C-shaped". Someone here can probably help with that better than I can. Hope you find a good one.

I had a Mighty Mite a while back and I sold it. It wasn't bad But it wasn't ANYWHERE CLOSE to being as nice as my Am Standard neck. If I were you I would probably look for a newer MIM Standard neck or an Am Standard neck. And yes those Am Standard necks are pretty pricy on e-bay. The MIM's aren't quite as much.

Someone told me a MODERN C is a bit thinner , flatter neck than a C neck. Just wanted to see what the experts on here say. Would love to get a neck like on my 80s Strat Plus..sweetest Strat Neck I ever played.

I ordered a custom neck from Warmoth that is nice. Price $237. They start at $157. I had extra money in add ons. Stainless fretwire, abalone face dots, graphtech tusq nut. You can have any option you want.
