Since all us Fender people have good taste, help me out. What color strap looks good with Lake Placid Blue. I just bought my 6th Fender and though a tweed strap would look great. When I got home, I discovered that I didn't own one strap that looked good with it. Black isn't too bad, but there must be a color that really makes it stand out.

Also, the switch in the 1st position causes it to buzz more on this MIM than on my MIA ones. Maybe I need to look closer tomorrow and do a proper comparison using other amps, but is this a common issue?
Thanks

i like blk thin leather for my teles. i use blk webbing for my "other guitars" and
either or for my strats. im older guitars i like blk leather as well or brn leather.
if your putting it on a high quality guitar dont skimp on the strap.

In Nevin's picture example above he used a colour that is different but similar in some sense and it works well. Nice choice, Nevin. That makes me think navy blue or some derivation might go well with Lake Placid.

I think white too, maybe a Levys (the manufacturer is something like that).

i do like the Levys straps. they offer a nice lower grade guitar strap.
ive never heard of a problem with them. they have all kinds of designs for just about everything.
for a good midgrade strap try brookwood leather guitar straps.
they are limited on their designs but better quality that the levys.
i like the buckle design they put on most of their straps. looks neater and cleaner than a lot of other straps. they dont look like a kids strap or low budget

+1 on the Levy strap. I have them on every electric and acoustic I own. They are very comfortable and they won't break the bank.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to look into either white/cream, or navy blue.

I have a faded denim guitar strap that I only paid $10 for and that would look great on a Lake Placid or Sonic Blue Strat,it looks great on my Olympic White Jimmie Vaughn Strat also.

I have a MIM Strat in agave blue and the strap I chose is a Fender strap in a deep royal bile with a patch in it with the Fender logo and a crown above the logo in gold stitching.
I think it was the perfect choice.
I've posted some pics and I hope the link works.
Post some pics if you can.

I really like Franklin leather guitar straps.

Some of the most comfortable straps I've used.

I now own 3 of them.

I like all of my straps, but this one has special meaning :

It was custom made for my "8 the hard way" (2008 that is).
