60th Anniversary Telecaster

Just bought a 60th Anniversary Telecaster S/N 10227509.

Any know how if this is the real deal and how to interpret the numbers?

with my limited knowledge i reckon its a 2010 guitar - thats all I can tell you. What makes you think it wouldn't be the real deal? Photos would help.

You might want to move this post to the Telecaster section instead of the Stratocaster section though.........

Since the serial numbers work the same for Strats and Teles I'll go ahead and confirm that this is one of two types of 2010 serial number.

From the time they used up the "Z9" (2009) prefix serial numbers until about April of last year Fender just used a "10" prefix serial numbers on the USA production models. Starting about May they began using serial numbers with a "US10" prefix for USA production models.

Fender needs to update their "Product Dating" pages; they end with 2005.
