Hey cedar, do you normally play strung like that?

Not really, I'm a huge AK fan, so I learned to play like that many years ago, once in a while I'll take out the V and play it...

So you play with a guitar strung the regular way also?...there's no way I could do that,it's upside down! :)
cool video

CB that was some real fine tone, nice feel, and ripping riffs...awesome job! :!: :!: :!:

Is the smile while cranking that out as big as the one when driving the Vette :?:

Thanks T2! Both bring lots of joy :D

oh please dont tell me that 79 makes an appearence too. :(

That 79 always makes an appearance! :P We go way back... a Strat and a Fender tube amp is all I need, not one single pedal was used to get this tone!

This vid really captured what goes on every Monday nite at the Blues jam. We had sort of a "reunion" that nite, I haven't played with these guys in like 15 years... the other two guitar players are some of the best in the area! This shuffle sounded so good, I love the way we did the rhythm to support the other guitar player around 3:40, it all came together in a perfect way, not bad for a jam!

cool video

If you were a huge AK fan like me and wanted to get those massive bends he's known for that was the best way to do it :)

$1,500-2,500, depending on the shape... saw this one at GC sometime last year, they were asking $1,500, it was in great shape but not a hardtail like mine and kinda heavy. It didn't last.

Sure there's a difference, but it's not necessarily better or worse... I like certain things about my hardtail and I feel the same about the other Strats. Unlike what most people think the hardtail doesn't sustain any better, at least mine doesn't... with the right trem block my other Strats sustain just as much and are actually acoustically louder unplugged :?

See guys...there's real talent here on the board and out in the clubs and honky tonks and "all points in between".
I know so many real great guitar players that will never be famous or even known at all...but that's what real music is all about...you give it away and if somebody enjoys it for just a few minutes,it makes it all worthwhile.
Let's give the man a hand.... :D

I'm humbled, glad you're enjoying the vids!

I still have my 79, it's what started it all some 27 years ago... it is a great sounding Strat but the amp I was playing through makes all the difference  the guy hosting the jam back then always brought some of the sweetest sounding Fender amps!

There are plenty of great players in my area, some way better than me, unfortunately no one's ever heard of 'em, and they'll probably never have a record deal... but some do gig regularly, others, like me, are happy to just show up at a jam and hang out with other cool players.

music for the music, jam just to jam. is there anything better?
my idea of having fun is having some wings, beer, and jamming out with my buddies...
