Ceri, You always have the most interesting liquid refreshments on hand.

Hi Jeff: that is undoubtedly the most important bit of this whole thing. :D

After all, with enough whisky on board... who cares whether the fingerboard is clean or not?

Cheers - C

Wow! What a rediculously cool bit of insight! Fascinating! Thanks Ceri!

Now I'm headed for my fingerboard for some dessert. Gonna snog those frets!

Cheers guys

Ceri,

Thanks for the story and the booze pictures. I am still recovering from a great bottle of cask strength scotch my son sent me for Christmas. I didn't realize that it was sold that way until several glasses later, and then it didn't matter.
Oh, and keeping with the topic - I love my new maple neck. Always wanted one as I think they look cool and vintage.

Wow, this post has grown!

Thank you very much to all of you for your funny comments and help. Unfortunatelly, a camel would be pretty expensive, and instead of buying a camel, I prefer to leave the maple neck dirty and but another guitar, haha!!!

Thank you very much, gentlemen! (I don't see any lady here, I think...)

Midnight Bluesman.
