i would like to get locking tuners.

got suggestions for which Sperzel locking tuners would be a good fit?

Sperzels are .382 your holes are drilled to .390 which means they should go in without reaming.
So find some "6 in a line" Sperzels in the color and button your like. As long as they don't have huge buttons they should fit in nicely.

I have a set of Fender chrome locking tuners on my MIM. "Fender Replacement Parts". part number 0990818100. Quite nice, stay in tune, seem to be about 18:1 gearing and direct drop in replacement. No drilling or anything.

Staggered kind of. 3 long posts, 3 short posts.

May be worth checking out. I like mine just fine.

Jeff

sure, i'll check em out. they may not fit the new neck as its tuner holes are drilled for the sperzel diameter but the one's you mention would fit the fender neck that came with this guitar. i do want the statggered ones as i'd like to do away with the tree. thanks for the tip

I was thinking about some locking for my Highway as well. I heard the Schaller are a direct replacement no drills needed. Are the Sperzels as easy as well ?

haven't tried them yet but warmoth said i just drill 6 tiny holes and the tuners cover them so they won't be noticable.

But even as tiny as it would be, I would like to keep the original holes only. I feel so much pain when I saw vintage strats that were drilled all over the neck for locking systems. I dont wanna do that if myself of someone in the future would like to put the guitar to is original peaces. So I guess I´m stuck with Schaller, huh ?
