I am thinking about getting one of these and was wondering what peoples opinions are of the two. Has anyone had experience playing both?

The ST68-TX I am referring to are the high quality Japanese versions made recently. They feature the larger logo, Texas Specials and are not made for Export I don't think.
The Custom Shops 69's of course are American and run usually around 3 grand. The Japanese ST68-TX are over $1500 less.

If I do get the Japanese version, I would put 69 pickups in it, never have been a fan of Tex Specials. From what I have read they both sport the same "U" shaped neck.

Are there any other large headstock "U" shaped neck Strat Models out there other than the 70's reissues?
