Check out this listing from the Zoo (no affiliation) for a masterbuilt Custom Shop "Tennessee Strat".

I've seen many Tele Deluxes with Strat necks/headstocks, and I've even seen Teles with Strat forearm and belly contours (which I happen to like).

But this may just be the first time I've seen an actual Tele pickguard/switch/bridge plate/bridge pickup on a Strat body (a string-through hardtail):

The transparent orange is definitely "unique", though not really my thing. Maybe a traditional Tele butterscotch would look more natural? Or that crimson red transparent finish they are putting on some of the Am Std Teles?

Replace that Strat neck pup with a humbucker, Keef style, and tune it to open G and that Strat would be raring to rip. :D

Me likes...I have a buddy who has always wanted a strat/tele, he likes the strat body, but likes the sound of the tele. He would probably kill for this guitar :!:

I wonder what it sounds like as it sure is pretty even with the orange finish 8)

Maybe the orange is for the University of Tennessee Volunteers?

Hmm, I don't really like the look of it to be honest, probably just because I don't like Tele's, but damn! That orange is sweet. Me likee very much.

The Zoo got another one just like it in stock, but in "natural" finish. They also call this a "Nashville Strat", so it's not just about the color...

And about the color, I've decided I like the orange much, much better.

I'm just trying to decide whether a lipstick pickup for the neck or a 'bucker would be the perfect way to finish this one off! 8)

It'll be interesting to see if this one lasts longer than the last one (I'm guessing it will)...

Chris W. Fleming had built a Closet Classic TeleStrat Hybrid LTD in Candy Apple Red a couple of years ago. It came with the S1 switching system and a matching headstock.

These look great. A maple neck with Nocaster blonde as the color would be AWESOME.

I think the orange looks great. I have an Ibanez bass that has a finish they call Roadster Orange Metallic and it really stand out. Would love to have a Tele in that color.

Yes- I would love to hear that baby sing.

Nice. Like the opposite of the ones above. I've seen a few of those around.

A few years back JM used to play one similar to that, but in blue:
