Was recently at a store that was selling a very nice looking strat - 2010 Natural finish (ash) Limited Edition Fender Stratocaster. They state that it is one of a few factory special run (FSR) Strats done in natural finish, and that it has a nitro lacquer finish (although i'm not really sure i can tell the difference). Serial begins with 'US10..' and the neckplate reads "Limited Edition". I've not really seen these around ( i noticed that there was some ebony and ivory series, but this is natural finish in Ash). What is a good price for this guitar, and how could i get more info on background of this guitar? (for example, if i sent Fender customer service the full serial number, would they tell me the specs on that specific guitar?). Thanks in advance for any info you can provide on this guitar!

Since FSRs never make it to Fender's website about the only way to get info on them is to email Fender with the serial number.

Price wise - I would assume it would go for roughly the same price as any other American Standard with an ash body (which I believe is the sienna sunburst these days).

That´s the guitar you got. It was a Special Run for Sweetwater. The price at the time was $1199. I know cause I bought its big brother.
Yours came out with Ash Natural Body, Limited Edition Neck Plate, Locking Tuners and American Standard Pickups.

Thanks for the info guys. Do you know if these limited runs have the Nitro finish? And the question of the day is...would buying it for $1100 be a fair price to pay?

If it is MINT/UNPLAYED condition, yes I would pay 1100 to have one of those. Cause you can buy a AmSt not ASH doh, not locking tuners for 999.

Hi,

i dont want to create a new topic. So i'll ask here for informations about my Fender Stratocaster American Deluxe with Rosewood Neck, S1-Switch and in a beautiful "Candy Apple Red" colour and with a black Headstock.
I found no informations about this guitar in the web. And i found no email address of fender, too, so i try to get here some informations. :)
Or does anyone have an email address for me?

Here's photo of my guitar.

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, i'm german. :(

Here is an e-mail address for Fender...consumerrelations@fender.com

They should be able to help you with information on your guitar.

And your english is fine...much better than my German...Auf Wiedersen.
