I'm looking to see who has Strats signed by famous guitarists. If possible attach photos.

My own story is pretty cool. I went to see Buddy Guy and Robert Cray at the Ryman in Nashville, TN.

I waited by the side door before the show and ran into Robert Cray who was on his way into the Ryman. I asked him to sign my guitar and he told me that he would be back in about 10 minutes. True to his word he returned and signed the guitar. I thanked him and went to see the show.

After the show I met with him and several others at the same door. He was very nice and talked with everyone. He said, "Goodnight," thanked everyone for coming and walked back to his hotel room.

As for Buddy Guy, well he came out of the side door and took a photo with one person. His manager grabbed him and they were off. He turned around when I got his attention.

As he looked at me I thought, "What the hell am I going to say now?" It was very late, he's old and he just gave everyone 2 1/2 hours of his life. I suddenly thought about how selfish it seemed to me that I was going to bother someone who would like to go home and go to bed. I decided the best thing I could say was, "Thanks for a great show and have a good night." He turned around and left in a vehicle.

At first I felt let down, but I got over it quickly.

So no Buddy Guy signature, but it's cool. I was glad to get Robert Cray's and had a really good time.

Ok I'll play...89 EC Strat...I won this from a radio station and guitar store giveaway that was promoting his concert in J'Ville Florida...It was a call in and win an EC Strat so while I was cleaning out my aunts garage the question came up, name the five bands EC was in and be the first caller...I called in and was first so I won the strat and when I went to pick it up it was signed by EC himself :!: Now that was a true bonus...and of course the paperwork that came with it is the important part

Here he is...

I don't get autographs, but at the Nashville Guitar Center they had a Les Paul for sale that had the three ZZ Topp signatures on it,the guitar had been owned by somebody in a country band that had played a show with Topp....Gibbons signed his name with a cool little pic of a long bearded face...that was cool.

I have a Strat and Tele autographed by Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives and even though I don't have his autograph my Jimmie Vaughn Strat was actually played by him.

That's cool. Did you own the Vaughn Strat at the time and get to meet him?

No sadly I didn't get to meet him.The guitar was part of a Fender promotional display somewhere in Eastern Canada(Halifax I believe)and Jimmie was playing there anyway Jimmie picked up this particualr Jimmie Vaughn Strat and played it for a couple of minutes. The Fender rep who was there quickly picked up the guitar after Jimmie put it down and kept it for a dealer here who along being one of his best friends is a real good friend of mine.Anyway when I tried out the Strat and picked it from about 8 or 9 I tried my dealer friend told me of the provenance of the guitar. He was pleased that I had bought it because of my respect for Jimmie Vaughn and because I'm such a Fender Fanatic.

I couldn't bear the thought of taking a Sharpie to ANY of my axes!!!
I did , however take the tremolo covers off of several of several of my Strats and went to a Robin Trower concert to have him sign them after the show!!
HE DID!!!
Now it is preserved and on the back of one of my favorites!!

Had the awesome opportunity to hang out with John Mayer for a little bit before a summer 2007 show. Naturally, I brought my guitar. And this is the outcome!

I was thinking about my deployment to Iraq in 2010 and it reminded that I had one of my acoustic guitars signed by the Zac Brown Band when they stopped in Iraq and played music for the troops. You can see part of the show in their video, "Free."

Three cool things about evening.

1. I was able to get really great photos of the show (You can see them on Facebook. Look up: Paris Thalheimer).
2. I got to the meet the band after the show. They were all very cool.
3. I ended up briefly in the video twice. I've got my 5 seconds of fame.

Thanks for all the pictures and stories.
