Anybody ELSE tired of some of the Strat bashing that STILL goes around?

Feel free to share your views and experiences, even if you are an ex-Strat basher...

i don't hear too much strat bashing... i don't see why there is, they are versatile guitars.... i don't like to bash anything because guitars are good for different styles and price ranges

Well i had gotten just a basic strat by squier for christmas and was very happy. But my neighbor told me, "that guitar isn't cool because only guitar NOOBS use that and it's for poor little people whjo cant play for crap" the guitar had lasted for 2 years now and i can play many different styles with it. It may be a "cheap guitar" money wise, but it really is versatile for the playing i do.

I know some good guitar players that play Squier, not famous, but somebody has to be very inmature to believe that a good player must be necesarely famous. There are on Youtube a lot of amazing kids playing cheap instruments very well at bedroom.
And you neighbourg, knows how to play guitar decently, or only has a big mouth?

Also strats are sometimes believed to be these hand-me-down things that people just start out on then take to the landfill after they learn a few chords.

Fender guitars in general are very inexpensive to produce.

You can build your own out of Mighty might parts for 300 bucks!

You can do a Saga kit for 120 bucks. ITs not the guitar its the player!

I think what I'm getting at is the notion that the Strat is somehow cliche, too common... frankly, some stuff you get in tele forums (not this website so much)...

I think what gets confused is the way the Strat is used and therefore bashed beacuse of this (ex. blues idiiom)...

Also, you get the "Strats don't cut through" line even from some dealers.
