What is the first topic that shows on the board index when you join the forum?

That's right, the "Forum rules". Had you bothered to read them, under code of conduct it clearly states, under "Code of Conduct READ BEFORE POSTING":

- For sale and wanted ads are not allowed.

Your first post is an ad for something that you are selling. Lame!

Morning Shimmi: Let's allow the doctor a polite heads up on this one. It really doesn't rise to the level of malpractice. Likely failed to read the fine print in his desire to do a favor for a friend, and perhaps one.

hello,

I have this model but ion left handed version. mine is 167 out of 250 (they only manufactured 250 in left handed). It plays great and until the other day had replaced the pick-ups with Kinman Noiseless pups. However I am after *my* tone. Apparently, the pups used in this 1996 guitar are called "vintage". I'm wondering if there is any more information about them. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned something about the Custom Shop being involved in the manufacture of these guitars. From what I was able to find out, these guitars were basically American Standard guitars with the changes that were listed upthread - gold hardware, etc. If anyone has more information about the pick-ups, please share it with me. thx!

Ya know...this guitar has had so many anniversaries, it's becoming reminiscent of me and my former wives.

ZZDoc, I know, right?

last night I was thinking that while I love this guitar, there is always this thought in the back of my mind, that I have be careful not to bang the thing and damage it and keep it in pristine condition so it doesn't effect its value. I bought this guitar in 1996, and sold a 1975 left handed strat with a maple neck. That guitar I banged up all the time and wasn't worried about it. I kinda wish I still had that guitar and wasn't always concerned about the pristineness of this guitar. It's kinda like owned a Mercedes and not driving it anywhere because I might get a door dent. Is this making any sense?
