I currently have a Squier Stratocaster. I want to change the pickups. I was considering the Tex Mex PUPS or Hot noiseless . Im open to suggestions. For this particular instrument I want a Vintage Twang to my sound. Something that when played clean still gives you a little taste of dirt w/o any effect. Your input & feedback is gladly appreciated

Hi btw122,

From your description of the sound that you want, Vintage Twang capable of a little dirt without effects, I would go with the Tex Mex over the noiseless.

Go check out the GFS pups, I put a set of 60's hot overwound in my strat, and they sound amazing. They have quite a selection there. While you're at it, give a glance at the high mass tremolo blocks too (if you haven't got one already) I put a brass high mass block in when I swapped out the pups, and HOLY SHINTO! what a difference!

make some noise!
